The Life That Is Here

Reincarnation, Karma, and What Many Lives Ask of Us Now

What if this life is one chapter in a much longer story?

A warm and thoughtful journey through reincarnation, karma, past-life memories, soul connections, and the mystery between lifetimes.

A luminous figure follows a golden path through a circular gateway toward dawn beneath a star-filled sky.

The book

A longer journey. A more present life.

You may come to reincarnation through faith, curiosity, grief, or doubt. There is room for all four here.

The book welcomes belief and mystery while distinguishing spiritual teaching, personal testimony, research, psychological explanation, and interpretation. Its center is not the drama of who you may have been, but the responsibility of who you are becoming.

A belief in many lives can help us live this one more fully.

Spiritual teaching

Traditions are approached on their own terms, without forcing their differences into one convenient doctrine.

Human experience

Dreams, recognition, grief, and unusual memories are welcomed with openness, care, and discernment.

Grounded practice

Every reflection returns mystery to compassion, honest boundaries, responsible action, and the present day.

A free reflection

Listen only to this chapter

No special object, altered state, or certainty is needed. A few quiet minutes and ordinary paper are enough.

Sit quietly for a few minutes and imagine that your present life is one chapter in a much longer story. Do not try to see a former identity or predict a future one. Bring your attention only to this chapter.

Then write without censoring yourself:

If my life is one chapter in a much longer story, what might this chapter be asking me to learn?

A practice for the soul’s journey

Twenty-one days, lived here

This is neither a test of belief nor a method for manufacturing past-life memories. It is practice in listening, healing, and choosing with greater awareness. The sequence offers support, not law.

About

Serena Orvale

Serena Orvale is the creative identity behind a contemplative spiritual publishing project exploring reincarnation, karma, consciousness, relationships, and the meaning of the present life.

Working through a human-directed process of linguistic synthesis, the project brings enduring spiritual questions into an accessible and compassionate form.

Ancient questions. Contemporary tools. A new spiritual synthesis.

The Life That Is Here brings together patterns from humanity’s shared conversation about consciousness, mortality, meaning, and the journey of the soul.

Editorial principles

An open heart. A clear mind. Both feet on the ground.

Spiritual invitation never overrides discernment, consent, professional care, or the dignity of another person’s life.

Belief with humility

Reincarnation is treated as a meaningful spiritual reality while mystery remains mystery and certainty is never inflated.

Traditions remain distinct

Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, Spiritist, Christian, Indigenous, and other perspectives are not collapsed into a universal religion.

No spiritualized blame

Illness, poverty, abuse, disability, violence, and grief never reveal a person’s moral worth or prove a karmic story.

The present life matters

No possible former identity is more important than present relationships, consent, boundaries, repair, and responsible action.
